Source Antibody: Use the combination of two rabbit polyclonal
antibodies made against two different serotypes of TNV for both capture and
detection for covering all viral isolates or strains.
Test Format: DAS ELISA
Reactivity: This test system detects all known isolates of TNV-serotype group A including strains A, B, C and S, and TNV-serotype group D including strains D, E, AC43, AC36, and the strains obtained from pear, grapevine and citrus. Reaction of the ELISA is very strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 1.400 - 2.800 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is very high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:2430.
Specificity: There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is low on all of the negative control wells.
Application: The test can be used to detect all isolates of TNV-serotype A strains and serotype D strains in infected host plants.
