Source Antibody: A rabbit polyclonal antibody for capture and a
mixture of two monoclonal antibodies for detection.
Test Format: TAS ELISA
Reactivity: This test system reacted with all PNRSV isolates tested. Reaction of the ELISA is moderately strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 0.600 - 2.100 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is moderately high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant leaf tissues diluted at 1:810.
Specificity: There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is very low on all of the negative control wells.
Application: The test can be used to detect PNRSV in infected host plants.

Name: Prunus Necrotic Ringspot Virus
Acronym: PNRSV
Synonyms: Cherry (sour) necrotic ringspot virus, necrotic
ringspot virus, peach ringspot virus, prunus ringspot virus.
Group/Genus: Ilarviruses
Vector:
Transmission: Mechanical, grafting, pollen.
Main host plants: Stone fruit trees, rose.
Viral Particle:
Virus Infection: Prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV) infects
fruit trees and causes symptoms like stunting, necrosis, chlorosis, and
leaf deformities. PNRSV is often found in rose in combination with
infections of apple mosaic virus or arabis mosaic virus. Production of
virus-free stock plant is effective method to control the virus infection since
the PNRSV is transmitted by grafting during plant propagation.
