Test Format: TAS ELISA
Reactivity: This test system detects all isolates or strains of virus. Reaction of the ELISA is super strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in a range of 2.000 - >3.000 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is super high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:7290.
Specificity: There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is very low on all of the negative control wells.
Application: The test can be used to detect CMV in infected host plants.

Name: Cucumber Mosaic Virus
Acronym: CMV
Synonyms: Cucumber virus 1, cucumis virus 1, Marmor cucumeris,
Spinach blight virus, tomato fern leaf virus.
Group/Genus: Cucumoviruses
Vector: Aphids
Transmission: mechanical, seed, bulb.
Main host plants: A wide host range, including many economical
crops.
Viral Particle: Isometric particle,.containing RNA genome.
Virus Infection: Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV) infects
over 400 species of plants and cause a number of various symptoms in different
hosts. The most common symptom is mosaic, and other symptoms include mottling,
yellowing, flecking, dwarfing, and fern leaf. CMV is mainly transmitted by
aphids. The virus can also be spread through the seeds, bulbs or other
vegetative organs in some species. CMV, one of the most important plant viruses
in the world, has the potential to cause tremendous
damage to crops.
