Source Antibody:  A rabbit polyclonal antibody for both capture and detection.
Test Format:  DAS ELISA                                   

Reactivity:  This test system detects all isolates or strains of virus.  Reaction of the ELISA is very strong.  Optical Density at 405_nm  is in a range of 1.5.000 - >3.000 depending  on the virus titer in the samples tested.

Sensitivity:  Sensitivity of the ELISA is very high.  The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted  at 1:2430 - 1:7290.

Specificity:  This test system reacts negatively with tobamoviruses such as CGMMV, FrMV, ORSV, PMMoV, RMV, SHMV, TMV and ToMV. There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues.  Background is very low on all of the negative control wells incubated with healthy plant samples or sample buffer.

Application:  The test can be used to detect KGMMV in infected host plants.

Transmission: Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation

Viral Particle:  Virions rod-shaped; not enveloped; usually straight; with a clear modal length; of c. 300 nm; c. 15 nm wide. Axial canal obvious. Basic helix obvious.
Virus Infection:  Viral infection cause persist symptoms of mosaic, severe fruit mottling and malformation.
