Test Format: DAS ELISA
Reactivity: The test reacted with all GMV isolates tested. Reaction of the ELISA is moderate strong. Optical Density at 405nm is in arrange of 0.890 - 2.590 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is moderate high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:270-810.
Specificity: There is no cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is relative low on all of the negative control wells.
Application: The test can be used to detect GMV in infected host plants.

Transmission: Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Main natural host plants: Glycine clandestina, and G. tabacina.
Virus Infection: Causes green mosaic, leaves malformation. Symptoms
vary cyclically over a few weeks and vary seasonally
Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms: Chenopodium
amaranticolor, C. quinoa - chlorotic lesions; then systemic mosaic, vein
yellowing or netting; Glycine max, G. soja - systemic mosaic.
