Catalog #: V207
Source Antibody: A rabbit polyclonal antibody for capture and and a
monoclonal antibody as detection.
Test Format: TAS ELISA
Reactivity: The test reacted with all GLRaV-1 isolates tested.
Reaction of the ELISA is moderate strong. Optical Density at 405nm
is in arrange of 0.450 - >2.600 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is moderate high.
The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted
at 1:10 -1:90.
Specificity: There is no cross reaction with healthy plant
tissues such as grapevine or other host plants. Background is
low on all of the
negative control wells.
Application: The test can be used to detect GLRaV-1 in infected
host plant tissues.

Information About the Virus
Name: Grapevine Leafroll Associated Virus - 1
Acronym: GLRaV-1
Synonyms: Six viruses, designated grapevine leafroll-associated 1,2,3,5,6
and 7 closteroviruses have been associated with grapevine leafroll disease.
Group/Genus: Closterovirus
Vector: Transmitted by Pseudococcus longispinus, Planococcus ficus
(GLRaV-3).
Transmission: Virus is not transmitted by mechanical inoculation. Virus
transmitted by grafting.
Main natural host plants: Vitis vinifera.
Virus Infection Symptoms: Rolling and discoloration
of leaves (reddish-purple in red-fruited, and yellowish in white-fruited
cultivars), especially conspicuous in mate summer and early autumn in intolerant
cultivars. Symptomless infection in some American Vitis spp. and hybrids.
Diagnostically susceptible host species and symptoms: Vitis vinifera
cvs Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Mission, Gamay - leafrolling and discoloration.
Geographical distribution: Probably
distributed worldwide.
