Source Antibody: Rabbit polyclonal antibody for both capture and
detection.
Test Format: DAS ELISA
Reactivity: This test system reacted with all virus isolates tested. Reaction of the ELISA is moderate. Optical Density at 405nm is in arrange of 0.600 - 1.300 depending on the virus titer in the samples tested.
Sensitivity: Sensitivity of the ELISA is relatively high. The virus can be consistently detected in infected plant tissues diluted at 1:270 - 1:810.
Specificity: There is no obvious cross reaction with healthy plant tissues. Background is low on the negative control wells incubated with healthy plant sample or sample buffer.
Application: The test can be used to detect BMV in infected host plants.
